gratitude changes everything.

Experiencing it.
Expressing it.
Creating it.
Practicing it.

Everything in my life changes when I choose to switch my focus from what’s not working to what I appreciate in myself, others and the world around me. My dad passed this gift on to me.

Being grateful flips on my heart switch.

When I choose gratitude, everything in my head–chaos, confusion, frustration–moves. Some days it slides gently into my heart,which then beats softly with appreciation. Other days it races and my heart explodes. Life’s hardness cracks open, becoming soft and tender. My focus: love, appreciation, beauty, wonder. I see the amazingness this thing called “life” offers.

Moments. Memories. Beauty.

Experiencing life with all six senses. I am brought to tears at how BIG this life, this living is. Being among beauty, magic and miracles. Appreciating the feeling of connection, of oneness. Loving all that was, is and will be. Grateful. Deeply grateful.

Frustration rises, voices get loud, control is lost.

I surround myself with some amazing women (I recommend you do to!). I reach out. All coach me in their unique ways. I see light through the cracks that were moments ago closed.

What is my intention as a parent? One coach suggests a Manifesto. And so it is…

My MAMA Manifesto

I don’t want to tell my kids how to live,

I want to LIVE and let them learn by watching me.

Pressure off. Instead of following my kids around telling them how they should live, I get to check-in with myself . And LIVE. In doing so, I realize changes I want to make by being an example of what is possible. I physically feel light. My mind is clear. My love big.

Short. Simple. True. For me.

One of my favorite quotes is Khalil Gibran:

“Your children are not your children.
They are sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you.
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For thir souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.”

Life is busy.

Why
When I turned 37 I had an aha moment. Thinking of my dad, who died on his 38th birthday, I asked myself… if I had a year left to live, is this the way I want to live it? The answer was hell no and so my journey began. It was 9 months with realizations and discoveries I could never have imagined. It was as if I re-birthed myself. You can read my story here.

I love sharing what I learned. I have a deep desire to connect and create a local community of woman, wanting something MORE. When you choose to look at life differently, your whole world can change, without anything changing around… it’s very powerful and fulfilling!

What to expect…

• Monthly topic with an exercise or journaling.
• Casual, honest and real conversation in a safe comfortable space, what happens here, stays here – don’t worry, all will sign in blood!
• Interactive – I won’t be blah blah blah’ing the entire time (Yay!) You get to participate, if you like!
• 30 minutes of casual hang out time.
• Come in what you feel comfortable in. Sometimes I’ll be in jeans, other time yoga pants. Comfort is key!
• Bring a journal – you are sure to walk away with a nugget or two – besides feeling soul-filled!
• Bring a pillow or blanket if you’d like to sit on the floor.
• No commitments. If you are free or want to be free, make it happen and see you there!
• Show up, breath, relax.
• Be surrounded by woman who see the amazingness and power in each other even when we don’t see or feel it in ourselves. (ps~ I do this as much for you as I do for me. YOU inspire me!)

Hello lovely people!! Let me tell you how full my heart is. I took off for Phoenix to spend 5 days with 320 extraordinary coaches. The day before I left my newest baby arrived in the mail. The daily practice guide I’ve been working on was delivered. She’s just the right size and to be able to share her with all my colleagues and friends in Arizona – well, was nothing short of amazing.
